Gerrit van der Geest MSc

Gerrit is an IT architect and program manager who has over thirty years' experience in IT. Gerrit holds a Master's degree in Applied Physics from the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. He held program management positions at Digital Equipment Corporation and Philips, where he was responsible for many international system integration programs. Gerrit is co-founder of consultancy companies in the Netherlands and in South Africa.

Gerrit specializes in Identity and Access Management, Service Oriented Architecture, and infrastructure architecture and has been responsible for the development of IT strategies, domain-, and solution architectures for large banking, insurance and manufacturing organizations. During the past years, Gerrit was the principal architect for assignments for clients like IS4F (IBM), BNP Paribas Fortis, Banca Nazionale del Lavoro, Metropolitan, Sanlam, Business Connexion and T-Systems.

He has a divers set of skills, knowledge and experience which allows him to work both on conceptual architecture assignments as well as on in-depth technology solution designs. Besides his profound technical expertise, Gerrit has extensive experience in communicating on senior management level and with business representatives. He often fulfils the role of trusted advisor for CIO’s, sponsors and steering committee members of large IT programs. He has strong analytical, communication and writing skills and has published various white papers. Gerrit is a team player and enjoys coaching others.

Carmen de Ruijter Korver

Carmen is a consultant and project manager specialized in the area of IAM. She has participated in various architecture and design phases of IAM projects for customers in the financial services industry in Europe and South Africa. These assignments concern both internal access control for employees as well as web access for clients. Her main focus areas are: role based access control, security administrative models, governance, processes, migration and change management of the organization. She gained extensive knowledge and experience in these areas during assignments for clients like IS4F (IBM), BNP Paribas Fortis and Banca Nazionale del Lavoro.

Furthermore she worked on behalf of Navit as a project manager for the architecture, design and deployment planning phases of Directory Services implementation programs for clients like Sanlam and T-Systems. Prior to that she worked for Compaq in the Netherlands, where she was responsible for the setup of a program management office and worked on many international IT infrastructure programs. Carmen co-developed Navit's IAM Architecture Development Kit and she is a certified project manager for PMI and Prince2 project methodologies.
